Bassist Jasper Mortier (1964) verzorgde het sublaag voor bluesgrootheden als Phillip Walker, Eddy “the Chief” Clearwater, Long John Hunter, Terry Evans, Sherman Robertson, Candye Kane en vele andere tijdens "The Night of the Blues" theatertoer door Nederland. Regelmatig begeleidde hij Amerikaanse artiesten als Boo Boo Davis, Byther Smith, Monti Amundson, Big George Jackson, Doug Jay en David Gogo in de studio of tijdens hun Europese tournees. Ook speelde hij jarenlang als vaste bassist bij Sugarcane (voorheen The Blues Factory) en de Boyd Small Band. Met beide bands nam hij in totaal 5 CD’s op. Met zijn jarenlange ervaring schakelt hij tijdens live optredens met het grootste gemak van basgitaar naar contrabas.
